NEW CBP RULE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2009, "10+2"
FOR ALL CARGO SHIPMENTS DESTINED TO THE U.S.

The U.S. Customs & Border Protection (CBP) Office will require an "ISF", Importer Security Filing, to be submitted and provide information on 12 data elements, supplied by the Importer, Forwarder or Custom Broker. Failure to provide the necessary information can results in fines and penalties for non-compliance, starting January 26, 2010.

NEW CBP RULES EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2008

In order to comply with the new rules as required by the U.S. Census Bureau and enforced by U.S. Customs and Border Protection effective October 1st 2008, outlined in the Foreign Trade Regulation 15 CFR Part 30, we appreciate your cooperation to submit proper documents for export at least 24 hours before day of vessel sailing, which may be prior to the physical delivery of shipment to our facility.

It is mandatory that controller of the export USPPI or FPPI choosing G&G Shipping as authorized agent to file the export information (EEI), to provide one of the WRITTEN AUTHORISATION documents under following links: USPPI authorization and
FPPI authorization.

Along with the authorization, controller of export (shipper or consignee) should submit following information:
1. -complete address, phone number and person of contact
2. - for companies: Employer Identification Number (EIN) - for individuals it will be SSN (social security number) - for resident alien (which does not have a SSN) and for foreign entity it will be the passport number. Make sure the invoice for your freight is received by G&G Shipping in due time for EEI.
